Marco Marin, born in Padua, Veneto, on July 4th 1963, is an Italian politician and former fencer, winner of a gold medal, two silver and one bronze medals in fencing at the Olympic Games and World Champion in 1995. He also won the World Fencing Cup in 1993.
Political Career[edit]
In 2013 Marco Marin was elected Senator of the XVII Legislature of the Italian Republic in the constituency of Veneto for Forza Italia-Popolo della Libertà political group. As a Senator, he is the Secretary of the 7th Permanent Commission on Education and Cultural Heritage.
