Political Career[edit]
Sam Gyimah was elected as MP for the constituency of East Surrey in May 2010. In July 2012, Sam was appointed as a minister for the Department for Education and Cabinet Office. Sam has previously been a Government Whip (2013-14) and Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Prime Minister (2012-13). Prior to these appointments, Sam also served as a member of the International Development Select Committee and the Speaker's Committee on the Electoral Commission.
