Boris Popovič (born September 5, 1962) is a member of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia and the Mayor of the municipality of Koper.
Political Career[edit]
Boris Popovič was not actively involved in the political life until the local elections of the Municipality of Koper in 2002, when he was first elected the Mayor. He currently holds the position for the fourth term. Popovič also founded his own party Slovenija je naša (eng: Slovenia is ours) and run at the Slovenian National Assembly and European elections. He was elected National Councilor in 2012 as a representative of regional interests.
Education[edit]
Popovič studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana but he never finished his studies.
