Christopher Fearne is Parliamentary Secretary for Health.
Political career[edit]
He was elected for the first time in 2013 and since April 2014 he is Parliamentary Secretary for Health. He is also a Member of Foreign and European Affairs Committee (Chairman). He is Labour candidate on Third and Fourth Election District since March 2013. He belongs to the Party of European Socialists (PES).
Education[edit]
Chris attended the College of St. Aloysius and the University of Malta, where he graduated with a degree in medicine and surgery in 1987. He became a Fellow of The Royal Collage of Surgeons of Edinburgh and worked in a number of children's hospitals in England, including at Great Ormond Street, London . Chris is also a lecturer in surgery at the University of Malta. Chris Fearne is the Chairman of Celebrities for Kids, which is a voluntary organization for children's rights. He served as a General Secretary of the Federation of Associations of Maltese people, as well as an officer in the University Student Council.
