Joseph Sammut was born in Canada and currently resides in Żurrieq.
Political Career[edit]
In 1994, Sammut started his professional career in law, still running a number of offices to this very day, including a firm of which he is Senior Partner.
He was first elected to Parliament in the general elections of 1998 and re-elected in the subsequent elections.
Education[edit]
He studied at the primary and secondary schools in Żurrieq and at the St Albert College Valletta. He furthered his studies in the French language and in 1993 he graduated with a Doctorate in Laws from the University of Malta.
