Political Career[edit]
Stephen Spiteri was elected to Parliament for the first time following the 2008 general elections. In March 2010, he was appointed Parliamentary Assistant within the Ministry of Education, Employment and the Family. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs and a member of the Maltese delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly for the Mediterranean. He also participated in meetings organised by the European Parliamentary and Council Presidency Joint Committees on various issues related to human rights and development and the single market.
