Paul Rudd Drayson, Baron Drayson(born 5 March 1960)is a British businessman, amateur racing driver and Member of the House of Lords.
Political Career[edit]
Paul Drayson joined the House of Lords on the 1st of June 2004. He has held a number of positions includ-ing: Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Ministry of Defence between 2005-07, Minister of State for the Ministry of Defence in 2007, Minister of State for the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform in 2007, Minister of State for the Ministry of Defence in 2007, Minister of State for the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills between 2008-09 Minister of State for the Department for the Ministry of Defence and the Minister of State for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills between 2009-10.
Education[edit]
Paul Drayston attended St Dunstan’s College followed by Aston University. He graduated with a BA in Pro-duction Engineering, followed by a PhD in robotics in 1986.
Notable Work[edit]
From 1986 to 1991 he was Managing Director of the Lambourn Food Company. From 1992 to 1998 he was Managing Director of Justin de Blank Ltd. Following In 1993 he co-founded PowderJect Pharmaceuticals plc in Oxford which specialised in the production of vaccines, and was Chief Executive until 2003 when PowderJect was acquired by Chiron Corp.
