Alain Marty (born March 7, 1946) is a UMP (Union for Popular Movement) member of the French National Assembly representing the fourth district of Moselle in Northern France.
Marty was also formerly the Mayor Sarrebourg, on the Moselle River.
Political Career[edit]
Marty entered politics in 1971 when he became the Municipal Councillor for Vic-Sur-Seille, Moselle.
In 1977, Marty became the Deputy Mayor of Sarrebourg, and in 1989 he was elected Mayor.
In 2001, Marty became the Vice-President of General Council of Moselle and one year later, in 2002, he was elected to the National Assembly of France for the fourth district of Moselle.
Education[edit]
Marty attended school in his hometown of Castelnaudary.
