Global Warming[edit]
The term global warming refers to the rise in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans since the late 19th century as well as its predicted continuation due to the increased amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The effects of this increase in worldwide temperatures include a rise in sea level, a change in the distribution and amount of rainfall as well as a probable expansion of subtropical deserts.
