Hardin, Garrett[edit]
American ecologist renowned for his theories on human overpopulation and on The Tragedy of the Commons (1968), considered the theoretical basis for the majority of the models of sustainable development. Other famous publications include Everybody’s guilty: The ecological dilemma (1970) and Lifeboat Ethics: the Case Against Helping the Poor (1974).
