Candela Figueira was born in Buenos Aires in 1978. She is a film director and producer. Candela Figueira has had the opportunity to work on big productions and in numerous feature films.
Biography[edit]
In 2004, she formed a creative work tandem with Maitena Muruzabal and created the production company Cronopia Films in Spain. Mrs Figueira made her directorial and screenwriter debut with the feature film Under the snow (Spain, 2008) that opened in theatres with great critical praise and was invited to participate in numerous international film festivals around the world. Currently, she is developing what will be her second feature film as director and screenwriter, "Luna Lunera", a co-production with Argentina that already has the support of the Navarra Government and the Ibermedia Programme, and she is post-producing the feature film "Blue Lips".
Education[edit]
Upon receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Producing and Directing in Radio & Television at Belgrano University, she worked in several television shows in Argentina. In 2001, she traveled to Los Angeles to complete a Post Graduate Certificate Program in Film/TV/Digital Entertainment Media at UCLA.
