Wouter Beke (9 August 1974) is Belgian (Flemish) politician and member of the center-right catholic party CD&V.
Political career
Burgemeester van Leopoldsburg (2013)
Beke entered politics in his municipality Leopoldsburg and is since 2013 major. He was elected senator in 2004 and has been exercising this function since then. In November 2013, Wouter Beke was elected as chairman of the CD&V.
Education
Wouter Beke holds as Master degree in Social Law from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and in Political Sciences from K.U. Leuven. Furthermore he is a doctor in the Social Sciences and a researcher at the Leuven Univeristy.
