David Assouline was born in 1959 in Morocco and is a member of the Senate of France, representing the constituency of Paris. Assouline has been involved in politics since 1995, when he became a member of the Socialist Party. Since 2003, he has joined the party's National Council. He was been elected in 2004 and re-elected in 2011, representing the Senate Socialist Group.
