Jasper van Dijk was born on the 20th of April 1971 in Jutphaas. He is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives on behalf of the Socialist Party (SP).
Political career
In 1998, he worked as a civil servant at the municipality of Amsterdam. Between 1999 and 2003 he was an employee in the SP fraction House of Representatives, where he worked for the committee on Education, Culture and Science. Between 2004 and 2005 van Dijk was an employee in the SP fraction in the European Parliament. In 2006 he held a position on SP fraction House of Representatives (where he had the portfolio Education Culture and Science), as well as on the city council at the municipality of Amsterdam.
