Bozena Sekaninova was born on October the 4th, 1957, in the city of Sternberk. She is a Czech politician and a Senator for the Prostejov district. She is a member of the Social Democrats.
Education[edit]
After graduating from Medical High School she worked as a nurse and a dispatcher in a hospital in the city of Prostejov.
Political career[edit]
In 1991 she joined the Social Democrats and was elected in 1998 as Councillor and Deputy Mayor of the city of Prostejov. As Deputy Mayor she was primarily focused on the fields of culture, education and social policy. In 2006 and 2012, she won the second round of elections to the Senate in Prostejov district. As a senator she focuses on the work of the Committee for Health and Social Policy and The Commission for Rural Development.
