Jacques Monasch was born on the 4th of January 1962 in Rotterdam. He is a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the Labour Party (PvdA).
Political career[edit]
Before he became a member of the House of Representatives, he was active in Dutch local politics and various different departments of the Labour Party. Moreover, since 1996 he has been the director of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. He also had his own political consultancy and was a teacher in international law and international relations.
Education[edit]
Monasch studied public administration at the University of Groningen and political economy at the University of Essex.
