Ankie Broekers-Knol (born on November 23th, 1946 in Leiden) is a member of the Dutch Senate for the People's Party for Freedom and democracy (VVD).
Political Career[edit]
Ankie Broekers-Knol has been President of the Dutch Senate since 2 July 2013 and has been a member of the parliamentary group of the VVD in the Senate since 2 October 2001. Mrs Broekers-Knol was chair of the Senate’s standing committee for Security and Justice. From April 29th, 1986 to May 1st, 1997 Broekers-Knol was a member of the Bloemendaal municipal council.
Education[edit]
Ankie Broekers-Knol studied Dutch law at Leiden University from September 1965 to December 1970.
