Nevenka Bečić was born on 5 March 1958 in Split, Croatia. She is a member of the Croatian Civic Party (Croatian: Hrvatska građanska stranka or HGS) and has been a member of the Croatian Parliament since 2011.

Prior to her engagement into politics, Bečić was a renowned business woman. Her parliamentary functions include being a member of the Finance and Central Budget Committee, the Committee on the Economy, and the Agriculture Committee. She was a member of the City Council of Split, Croatia between 2009-2011.

Bečić obtained her qualification of Economic Technician from the Secondary Commercial School in Split.
