Lord Anfield is a Labour member of the House of Lords. He has been a member of the House of Lords since January 2011.

Political Career[edit]

Since 2011, Lord Anfield has been a Shadow Spokesperson in the Cabinet Office and a Minister without Portfolio. Since 2010 he has been an advisor to Labour Party leader, Ed Miliband.

His other political roles include member of the Council of Economic Advisers in HM Treasury; Special Advisor to Gordon Brown in HM Treasury; and the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Policy, Culture and Sport, and Northern Ireland.
