Maria Hortense Nunes Martins was born on September 21st, 1966. She currently practices as a business manager.
Political Career[edit]
Besides being a member of the Municipal Assembly of Castelo Branco, Hortense Martins is also a member of the National Policy Committe from the Socialist Party (PS), the president of the Department Federation from Socialist Women of Castelo Branco, a member of the Federation Secretariat of the Socialist Party from Castelo Branco and a member of the Policy Committee of Castelo Branco’s Socialist Party Federation. She is currently working on her third mandate as a deputy at the National Parliament for the Socialist Party, since she started her activity in the 10th legislature (2005-03-10). She takes part in several parliamentary committees (Budget, Finance and Public Administration; Economy and Public Works; Social Security and Labour).
