As the Champs-Elysees of Berlin, the one-and-a-half kilometer long Unter den Linden Boulevard was named after the trees planted in 1647 to the order of Frederick William I, King of Prussia. Just like in the French capital, the Gate leads to one of the most well-known city streets.
