Commons (The Commons)[edit]

Traditionally, the commons have been defined as elements of the environment such as forests, the atmosphere, rivers, or grazing land that are shared, used, and enjoyed by all. In the cultural sphere, cultural commons refers to the cultural resources available to all members of a society, such as film, literature, music and art. Since these resources are not privately owned, they are accessible to all segments of society.
