Nancy Arendt competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics, in Seoul, participating in the 100m breaststroke and 200m breaststroke. She finished twenty-ninth and thirty-first respectively. After converting to triathlon, Kemp-Arendt competed in that sport's first appearance in the Summer Olympics, in 2000. She has won the title of Luxembourgian Sportswoman of the Year a total of six times – two for swimming and four for triathlon.

Nancy Arendt, member of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg

Nancy Arendt is a former athlete and a current member of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, where she represents the Christian Social People’s Party (Chrëschtlech-Sozial Vollekspartei) in the South Consitutency.

Nancy Arendt was born in Esch-sur-Alzette in 1969.

Political Career[edit]

She has been a member of the Christian Social People's Party since 1993 and a Deputy Member of the NATO Parlamentarian Assembly since 2009. She was a member of the Accounts Commission in 2003 and Vice-President from January 2004 until June 2004. She was a member of the Commission on Family, Equal Opportunities and Youth from 2004 until 2009. Since 2013 she has been a member of the Commission on Petition, a member of the Commission on Health, Equal Opportunities and Sports, the Vice-President of the Commission on Public Power and a member of the Commission on Family and Integration.
