Meyrem Almaci (25 february 1976) is a Belgian (Flemish) politician with Turkish origin and a member of the ecological party GROEN.
Political Career[edit]
Almaci became councillor for Sint-Gallis-Waas in 2000. She has been the spokesperson of Jong Groen since 2005. In 2006 she moved to Berchem, where she has become district Councillor. She has also been a member of Parliament since June 2007.
Education[edit]
Meyrem Almaci has a degree in Moral Sciences and is a master in Comparative Cultural Studies. She has worked as a scientific worker in research projects at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the K.U. Leuven as from 2002 about study choices and the study success of immigrants in higher studies.
