Július Brocka (born on the 1st of January, 1957 in Modra) is a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic. He stood for a seat for KDH in the Parliament. He is also former Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family.
Political career[edit]
From 1990 to 1992 he was the Member of the Slovak National Council elected by KDH and the Chairman of the KDH Group. In 1992 he became a Member of Parliament elected by KDH until 1994. Since 1994 he was the Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family in the government of Joseph Moravčik. In 1994 he also became the member of Parliament for KDH and the Deputy Chairman of Finance and Budget. From 1998 to 2002 Brocka was a member of Parliament for the SDK and the Vice-Chairman of the Finance and Budget. In 1981 he graduated at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava.
