Alexander Dobrindt

Alexander Dobrindt is German politician and a member of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria(CSU). He has been the Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure since 2013.

Political Career[edit]

Dobrindt joined the Junge Union(Junior Party of the CSU) in 1986. He was the district chairman of the Junge Union from 1990-1997. He has been a member of the CSU since1990. 1996-2011. Alexander Dobrindt was local chairman of the CSU from 1999-2011. He has been the Chairman of the CSU district Weilheim-Schongau since 2009. He equally was the Secretary General of the CSU from 2009-2013. He has been a Member of Parliament since 2002. In addition to this, he has been the economic policy spokesman for the CSU party from 2005-2008. He equally was the Chairman of the Working Group on Education and Research of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group from November 2008 to February 2009.

Education[edit]

He obtained his Abitur at the Gymnasium in Weilheim in 1989. He then studied sociology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and graduated in 1995.
