Jeffrey Howard Archer, Baron Archer of Weston-super-Mare (born 15th April 1940) is a former politician and author of many books. Before becoming an author, Archer was a Member of Parliament. From 1985 to 1986 he was deputy chairman of the Conservative Party. In 1992 He was made a life peer.
