She was a Committee member in the Young Socialists AG and the Young Socialists district association, in local associations and district association of Altenkirchen from 1994-1997. She is the deputy chairman of the SPD's local association in Altenkirchen. She was the Education Officer of the District Association in Altenkirchen and spokesperson of the Young Socialists AG in Altenkirchen from 1997-2001.
