In 2010 Coudyser became secretary of the Board and a member of the party of the New Flemish Alliance.In November 2012 Cathy Coudyser took the oath as a member of the House of Representatives where she succeeded Manu Beuselinck from Ostend. On May 25, 2014 Cathy Coudyser was elected into the Flemish Parliament, in addition, she was nominated by the N-VA party in the Flemish Parliament and appointed state senator. In the Flemish Parliament Cathy Coudyser is a regular member of the Committee on Culture, Youth, Sports and Media.
