Lord Wolfson is a Conservative member of the House of Lords. He joined the House of Lords in March 1991.
Political Career[edit]
From 1978 to 1979 he served as Secretary to the Shadow Cabinet. Between 1979 and 1985 he served as Chief of Staff of the Political Office.
Education[edit]
Lord Wolfson was educated at Clifton College and went on to study Economics and Law at Trinity College, Cambridge University where he achieved a Master of Arts degree. He then went on to study at Stanford University where he received a Master of Business Administration.
Notable Work[edit]
Lord Wolfson was director of Great Universal Stores from 1973 to 1978, and again from 1993 to 2000. He was chairman of the Alexon Group plc , Next plc, GUS, and William Baird. Since 2001 he has been a non-executive director of Fibernet and chairman of Compco.
