Áine Collins is an Irish Fine Gael politician born 9 September 1969 in Banteer, County Cork. She now lives in Millstreet, County Cork.. She was elected as a Teachta Dála (TD) in February 2011 to represent the Cork North-West constituency.
Professional Career
Ms. Collins worked as an accountant and business consultant to small and medium enterprises. Ms. Collins has over 20 years’ experience in business and finance. Coming from an agricultural background, Ms. Collins began her professional life as an accountant. She is a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Accounting Technician (IATI), with particular expertise in company regulation and compliance, auditing, financial reporting, and taxation. She has run her own practice and worked in both start-up and established companies. Her particular area of interest is the SME sector and she has contributed to the Action Plan for Jobs in this area. Áine Collins is a TD representing Cork North West. Áine is a member of the Public Accounts Committee and Joint Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and Vice-Chair of the Fine Gael Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
Notable work
She is the co-founder and director of CUBE Business Consulting, and one of the founding members of Millstreet Development Association, as well as a member of Millstreet’s Community Council.
