James Berry (born 29 December 1978) is a British Conservative Party politician. He is the Member of Parliament for Rossendale and Darwen, having won the seat at the 2010 UK General Election.

Political Career[edit]

Jake Berry was elected as a Member of Parliament for Rossendale and Darwin in 2010. Following this he was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Rt Hon. Grant Shapps MP, Minister for Housing and Local Government in 2010. In April 2013, Jake Berry was asked by the Prime Minister to join his influential Policy Board and advise him on housing, local government and regional growth in Downing Street. He is currently working on the Conservative Party’s 2015 Party Manifesto and remains an active constituency Member of Parliament for everyone in Rossendale and Darwen.

Education[edit]

Jake was educated at Liverpool College, followed by the University of Sheffield, and trained as a solicitor in the City of London.
