Paul Blomfield (born 25 August 1953) is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Central since 2010.
Political Career[edit]
Paul Blomfield was elected as the Member of Parliament for Sheffield in May 2010. He first joined the Labour Party in 1978. Paul Blonfield was also chair of Sheffield Labour Part for 15 years until 2009. In Parliament he is the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Hilary Benn, the Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. He also sits on the Business, Skills and Innovation Select Committee and is the Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Universities, Vice Chair of the Labour Campaign for Electoral Reform and Vice Chair of the All Party Group on Motor Neurone Disease.
Education[edit]
Paul Blomfield was educated at the Abbeydale Boys' Grammar School in Sheffield and Tadcaster Grammar School. He received a certificate in education from York St John University.
