Alain Anziani was born in 1951 in Paris. He is a member of the Senate of France representing the Socialist Group. He was elected in 1951 for the constituency of Gironde.
Political Career
From 1993 to 2008, he was Premier Secretary of the Socialist Party in Gironde, and from 1998 to 2008, Vice-President of the Regional Council of Aquitaine, responsible for finance and economy. He has been a Parliamentary Administrator for Senate, member of the Commission on Constitutional Laws, legislation, universal suffrage and general administration, and Deputy Mayor of Mérignac.
Education
He attended the Institute for Political Studies in Paris. He has a Masters in Philosophy and Law, and has a PhD in economics.
