Mario Bedera Bravo was born April 4, 1957 in Valladolid, Spain. He is a Senator for Valladolid. He was Deputy during the 2004 Legislature. In November 2010, he was appointed Secretary of State for Education and Vocational Training, Ministry of Education of Spain.

He is currently a Senator for Valladolid, a member of several committees and a spokesman for the Organic Act to amend the Organic Law of Judicial Power for execution in the European Union. His last term was National Deputy for Valladolid, occupying different positions in the field of Culture, Education and Science in the Congress of Deputies. In this field he has been a spokesman for the drafting of the Universities Act.

Mario Bedera has a PhD in Law. He is a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Valladolid. He was also Vice-Chancellor of the University of Valladolid (1998-2004).
