Alex Ahrendtsen(born 14th of February 1967 in Rebæk, near Kolding) is a Danish politician, translator, writer, and publisher.

Political career

He was elected to Odense City Council in November 2005 and was deputy mayor in 2006-2009. In 2011 he was elected to parliament for the Danish People's Party.

Education

Ahrendtsen studied an MAs in Danish literature, religion and classical Greek at Odense University, from 1989 to 1996.

Special achievements

Ahrendtsen was the spokesperson on cultural affairs and education from 2011 until the present day.
