Nicole Bricq (born June 10, 1947) is a member of the Senate of France, representing the Seine-et-Marne department. Since 1980, Bricq has been a member of the French Socialist Party, currently holding the position of Minister of Foreign Trade.
Political Life
Bricq was elected to the French Senate in 2006 for the department of Seine-et-Marne.
In May 2012, Bricq was appointed Minister of Ecology, Energy, and Sustainable Development in the government of Jean-Marc Ayrault. After the French legislative elections of June 2012, she was appointed Minister for Foreign Trade, a position she held until March 2014.
Education
In 1970 Nicole Bricq recieved a master's degree in Private Law from the University Montesquieu-Bordeaux.
