An orchestra based in Seville, Spain, comprised of young musicians from Arab countries, Iran and Israel. The orchestra was founded in 1999 by the Argentine-Israeli conductor Daniel Barenboim, and the Palestinian-American academic Edward Said. The aim of the orchestra is to promote understanding between Israelis and Palestinians, to help facilitate a peaceful and fair settlement to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
