Introduction
He was born on March 7th, 1934. He is a retired Irish Fine Gael politician, and a former TD for the Wexford constituency.
Political Career
In the 1977 during the general election he was first elected to Dàil Eirann and he held it until the 1987 general election when he lost it to Brendan Howlin of the Labour Party. In the 1989 he was re-elected at the general election, in substitution of Avril Doyle, but she gained her seat at the 1992 general election. On the 20th Seanad he was elected for the Agricultural Panel. Between 1997 and 2002 he was part of the constituency Wexford part of 28th Dàil House.
Notable Work
On the 22nd Dàil he has been Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and on the 24th Dàil he was Minister of State at the Department of Fisheries Forestry and Minister of State at the Department of the Gaeltacht. During the 28th Dàil he was Vice-Chairman of Enterprise and Small Business Committee.
Education
He is a public representative and a farmer.
