Trevor Ó Clochartaigh (14/03/1968) was born in Huddersfield, England. He is a member of the political party Sinn Fein.
Political Career
O Clochartaigh won his Galway West seat in the 2011 General Election. Before representing Sinn Fein he was a member of the Labour Party but was unable to win a seat on Galway County Council at the 2004 local elections. During his political career he has been a leading critic of the government for its infrastructural and industrial neglect of the west.
Education
He graduated with a Commerce degree from NUI Galway. He is also fluent in the Irish language.
