Carlo Bonnici was born on 28 January 1967.
Political Career
His involvement in politics goes back some 25 years. For most of this period, he held senior positions in various ministries spanning a wide variety of fields including health, care for the elderly, persons with disability, education, youth, sports, and employment. In 1998, Carlo Bonnici was also tasked with the setting up of NET News. In March 2007, he contested the local council elections where he was elected Deputy Mayor of the Attard Local Council, a post he retained until his election as Member of Parliament in 2008. Bonnici was re-elected to Parliament in 2013. He is Opposition spokesperson for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change.
