Floella Benjamin, Baroness Benjamin was born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad, in Pointe-a-Pierre on 23 September 1949. She was introduced to the House of Lords as a Life Peer nominated by the Liberal Democrats in 2010. She is a British actress, author, businesswoman and politician.
Political career
Since 2013 she belongs to the EU Sub Committee F - Home Affairs, Health and Education. She was CEO at Floella Benjamin's Caribbean Kitchen Ltd in 2007. Between 2002 and 2012 she was Chairman at Floella Benjamin Productions Ltd. Since 1969 she has been an actress and author.
Education
