The United Nations Conference on the Establishment of an International Criminal Court, took place from the 15th to the 17th of June 1998 in Rome, Italy. 120 of the 160 states in attendance voted in favour of the establishment of an International Criminal Court, and only seven voted against it. The seven countries that voted against the treaty were, Iraq, the United States, Israel, Libya, People’s Republic of China, Qatar and Yemen
