Efkleidis Tsakalotos was born in Rotterdam in 1960. He is a Greek politician and professor.
Political Career
He is a member of the Central Political Committee of SYN and SYRIZA, previously the Executive Committee of POSDEP.
Education Career
A graduate of Oxford University. He has taught at the University of Kent and Athens University of Economics and by the summer of 2010 he is Professor of Economics at the University of Athens.
Notable Work
He has published books and articles in international journals in the fields of macroeconomics, political economy and philosophy of the social sciences. The last book is in the Greek language, along with Chris Lasko, is No Return: capitalist crisis, social needs, socialism (Kapsimi versions).
