Dagmar Freitag is a member of the SPD and was born on March 3, 1953 in Letmathe, Germany. She is a teacher by profession.
Political Career[edit]
Freitag has been a member of the SPD since 1975. From 1989 to 1999, she was a councillor and chairman of the Sports Committee of the City of Iserlohn. She has been a member of the Bundestag since 1994; since 1998 a member of the Commission of the Council of Elders of the Bundestag for Internal Matters.
Education[edit]
Freitag studied English and Sports Science in Bochum to become a teacher.
Notable Work[edit]
Freitag has been the vice-president of the German Athletic Sports Association since 2001.
