Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos was born in Piraeus in 1960. He is a Greek politician and professor in International Relations.
Political Career[edit]
In the national elections of May 6th he was elected member of the Greek Parliament with the New Democracy In the national elections of June 17th and he was re-elected and was appointed minister of Education, Religious Affairs, Culture and Sport.
Education Career[edit]
He studied at Panteion University, with a degree in Political Science (1982). He was lecturer on International Relations and Comparative Politics at the School of International Service at the American University (1987-89). He did his post-doctoral Fellow at the Centre for European Studies at Harvard University (1990-92). He was assistant professor of Government and European Politics at the department of Public and International Affairs at George Mason University (1992-95). He speaks English and German.
