Lennart Axelsson was first elected member of parliament in 2000. He is representing the Socialdemocrats and Örebro county since then. In the government he has been a deputy in the Committee of Taxes 2000-2014. Since 2003 he has been a member of the Social Committee. Between 2004-2006 and 2014-2018 he has been a deputy in the Nordic Council representing Sweden.
