Bernd Schönegger, born on January 29th, 1977 in Graz, is an Austrian politician and Member of Parliament for the ÖVP (Österreichische Volkspartei, Austrian People's Party).
Political Career[edit]
Schönegger's has been the Party Chairman for ÖVP Graz-Geidorf since 2008 as well as a Member of Parliament. He was the top candidate of the Austrian People's Party during the parliamentary election in 2008 in the regional constituency Graz and immediately started his mandate in the National Council. He was sworn in on 28th October 2008 as a deputy. In addition, Schönegger was State Chairman of the Student Union, Federal Deputy Head Boy and Deputy State Chairman of the Young People's Party Steiermark. He was also chairman of the Young People's Party Graz and Graz council.
Education[edit]
Schönegger passed the Matura at the secondary boarding school in the Federal Liebenau. He then studied Law and graduated with the degree Mag. Jur. He is currently the Managing Director of Graz People's Party.
