Ronnie Campbell is the Labour MP for Blyth Valley, and was born in 1943.
Political Career[edit]
Ronnie Campbell is MP for Blyth Valley and has been since June 1987. In the 2010 election he stayed on as Labour's candidate and won with over 17,000 votes. He also sat as a local councillor for Blyth Borough Council between 1969 and 1974, and Blyth Valley Council between 1974 and 1988.
Education[edit]
He attended Blyth Ridley County High School (a secondary modern school, which eventually merged with Tynedale High School in 2000 to become Blyth Community College) on Sixth Avenue in Blyth and left school at 14 to go down the pit.
