René Leegte was born on the 8th of July 1968 in The Hague (Den Haag). He is a politician in the Dutch House of Representatives for the People's party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD).

Political career[edit]

Between 1994 and 1998 he was the Personal Assistant for Mister Bolkestein (an old VVD politician). Subsequently, he was a member of different commissions and regional departments of the VVD. Moreover, he is the director and owner of 'Public Affairs and Corporate Communication' in the Hague. Between 2006 and 2007 he was the chief Commercial Officer of 'Agrofair'.

Education[edit]

Leegte studied Development Economics and Environment at the University of Wageningen.
